Vintage Technology

Vintage technology, depending on the particular device itself, refers to technology that often fufills two criteras

  • They were manufactured before the 2000s.
  • They use analogue technology instead of digital technology (for example, VHS instead of CDs). Winning Move

    Here is an image of the few vintage technology I used to own back in the days, before I either sold it off or gave it away.

    There exists some people who claim to like vintage technology, but respectfully, the pendant in me would like to say it's more so they like to co-opt vintage technology along with digital technology. For example, VHS is far inferior to digital files, for many many reasons, yet some people find it more comfortable and cozy to watch videos on a CRT TV.

    I myself might not appreciate vintage electronics, but I do have an interest in old vintage cars, so I certainly understand their perspective even if I don't share it myself.

    As technology begins to implement strange new features such as advertisements within their products, or requiring software updates, we might find more and more people turning to vintage technology (or, at least technology produced before the 2020s)
