Linux

A free open source unix-based operating system which is often used by individuals who are concerned about anti-privacy measures implemented within the Windows operating system, or would like to use an OS which is far less bloated allowing for smoother usage of application.

My journey with Linux began sometime in 2013 or 2014, with Ubuntu 12.04. I'm not sure why I decided to try Linux out, as I was running the legendary Windows 7 (the last good Windows OS), however I believe the uniqueness of the OS and my interest in technology led me, a young teenager at the time, to try it out. I found that Minecraft ran very well, giving me an additional 10fps or so, further cementing my appreciation for this simple OS.

Winning Move

With how familar Linux has become with the average computer user, thanks to Valve and YouTube content creators, I feel immature for saying this but I do feel rather happy to say I've been using Linux before it became cool to the average person. However, unlike some users, I welcome the new influx of Linux users and think gatekeeping is odd and counterproductive.
