And yes, this applies to STEM degrees as well.
If you want to pursue arts, don't study for a degree, just do the art thing you want to do and build your portfolio that way.
If you want to get into STEM, find a way to get the cheapest, entry-level, and accreddited qualification, get a job and then work your way up.
